Nissan Pathfinder Named to Cars.com 2024 Best Cars for Car Seats List

Nissan prioritizes safety for you and your children. This is why we were excited to hear that the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder was named one of six vehicles on the Cars.com 2024 Best Cars for Car Seats list.

The 2024 Pathfinder made this list by receiving all “A” ratings in Cars.com’s Car Seat Check. The 2024 Pathfinder received an “A” rating based on offering ample room for the front passenger, driver, child, and car seat. It also earned an “A” rating for its conveniently accessible and easy-to-use car seat LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) attachment points.

To compile these ratings, Cars.com assembled a team of certified child passenger safety technicians to evaluate 52 vehicles over the past 12 months. The team installed infant, convertible, and high-back booster seats into each vehicle to test their LATCH systems. They were looking for how well each vehicle accommodated the different car seats. An “A” rating means that the LATCH system was convenient to access and easy to use. The vehicle should also provide sufficient room for the child and car seat without impacting front-seat legroom.

"The car seat installation process is quick and convenient, and front-seat occupants will have plenty of legroom even with rear-facing seats installed behind them."

For the 2024 model, Nissan offers an accommodating interior made for families of all types. Children will find a comfortable place as they join in on trips across the Carolinas. You have three rows of comfortable seats to do so while accommodating seven to eight people on board.

To make things more convenient, the EZ FLEX second-row seats conveniently tip forward to provide access to the third row and feature the convenience of Nissan's LATCH AND GLIDE technology, allowing them to tip and slide even while a child safety seat is installed.

In addition to keeping everyone comfortable inside, the Pathfinder also adds the confidence of the standard Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of driver assistance technologies. This includes features such as Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, and Rear Automatic Braking.

The result is a safe vehicle in which to feel confident and secure. In fact, the 2024 Nissan Pathfinder was awarded the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) 2024 TOP SAFETY PICK+ award for vehicles built after November 2023. This is the highest designation given by IIHS to any vehicle based on crash testing.
