Our mid-sized pickup truck continues to attract customers looking for a strong vehicle that can work and play. With a selection of trim levels available, there is a truck that is right for you.
Even in the face of improved competition, the 2025 Nissan Frontier gets a series of updates that will keep our pickup truck on the top of your shopping list. It mixes bold, strong and proven while adding new technology and design.
It all starts with a new front fascia, grille, and bumper design. Out back, there is a new tailgate finisher for PRO-X/PRO-4X. For Frontiers equipped with 17-inch wheels, a new design emerges for more style. Let’s not forget about the new Afterburn Orange paint color—that is one shade that will make any place in the Carolinas pop.
Convenience is an important part of any pickup truck. New for 2025 is a telescopic-adjusting steering wheel that is standard on all trim levels. A four-way power passenger seat becomes standard on the PRO-X/PRO-4X and SL grades, while the driver’s seat receives a two-way power lumbar to their six-way power adjustments on SV models and up.
New for the Frontier is a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which allows drivers to use on-screen functions more effectively and easily. Plus, wireless Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay are available together on the Frontier.
On SL grades, there is now a standard wireless phone charger and Intelligent Around View Monitor.
As mid-sized pickup trucks are being considered for work, the Crew Cab long-wheelbase configuration is available with a 6-foot bed on select trim levels. That coincides with an increase in maximum trailering capacity up to 7,150 pounds. Across the lineup, towing capacities increase by around 500 pounds on all grades and configurations compared to the 2024 Frontier.
Frontier PRO-4X drivers will now find new off-road enhancements to add to their desire for adventure beyond the highway. Enhancements to the Intelligent Around View Monitor add an Off-Road Mode viewing function that can now be used while driving at up to 12 mph, covering a greater range of typical technical off-road speeds and helping drivers spot obstacles.
As Nissan prioritizes safety across the lineup, the 2025 Frontier is now equipped with numerous driver assistance and safety technologies that are now standard across all trim levels. Features include Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Parking Sensors, High Beam Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control. Frontier SL also features Traffic Sign Recognition.
Functionally, Frontier offers a Utili-Track system for its bed with adjustable tie-down cleats and available spray-in bedliner. The bed also has an available 120-volt power outlet.
One thing that has not changed is what’s underneath the hood. Nissan is now the only mid-size pickup truck with standard V6 power. The direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 still puts down 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission continues to be standard on all grades.
PRO-4X models continue to show their prowess away from the highway with a standard electronic locking differential, all-terrain tires, Bilstein off-road suspension components, and an even more rugged appearance with over fenders and Lava Red tow hooks.
The 2025 Frontier lineup should be arriving at Dick Smith Nissan of Columbia soon. Contact us to see what’s new on our mid-size pickup truck. In the meantime, there are still some 2024 models in inventory and available to take home today.
