What is Rock Creek?

Remember the days when Nissan ran the gravel roads and dirt tracks across South Carolina? The Hardbody and Frontier pickup trucks, Pathfinders, and Xterras traversed their way with robust four-wheel-drive systems and maximum protection, keeping key components protected from anything flying below the frame.

We remember those days, and we think Nissan came up with a brilliant idea to keep those memories alive.

They call it the Rock Creek.

The Rock Creek editions bring back the feeling Nissan had when they reigned the trail. Introduced in 2019 for the 2020 Pathfinder, the Rock Creek edition helped raise the profile of the three-row SUV by giving it more appearance and protection to do more away from the highway. This edition was made for outdoor adventure-minded families who camp, hike, rock climb, and a whole lot more.

In the current Pathfinder, Nissan added more capability to the Rock Creek model, which is now offered as its own trim level. Under the body, Rock Creek models receive an off-road-tuned suspension with a 5/8-inch lift. Keeping the Rock Creek on the trail is a set of 18-inch beadlock-style wheels mounted with all-terrain tires. Combined, this assures everyone of its capability when faced with a few obstacles.

As you load up for a camping trip, Pathfinder Rock Creek owners will utilize the tubular roof rack. You can load up to 220 pounds of items that might not fit inside the Pathfinder’s spacious cabin – such as kayaks, small boats, and overlanding gear.

You cannot ignore the Rock Creek’s rugged looks. That is why you can tell the difference between it and other Pathfinders, with its exclusive front fascia, dark V-motion grille, and mesh insert. It also wears the Rock Creek badge to make sure you got the right Pathfinder for adventure.

Inside is a distinctive interior made for getting away. The seats are leatherette and fabric with Rock Creek embroidery. You will also see the details come through, such as orange contrast stitching on the seats, steering wheel, instrument panel, center console and door panels.

Perhaps the key piece drivers will need is right in the middle of the dashboard. Your NissanConnect screen also houses a standard Intelligent Around View Monitor with Off-

Road Mode. The latter gives you an enhanced view to help you steer around rocks and obstacles with ease and precision and includes multiple view angles so you can take on rock gardens like a pro.

The Pathfinder Rock Creek model has become a popular choice. Its rugged good looks and capability are very attractive to our customers. However, the Pathfinder will not be the only model available in a Rock Creek model. The Nissan Rogue will receive its own Rock Creek model for 2025. It will come with most of the enhancements listed for the Pathfinder version, except that the Rogue will wear 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires.
